Brief info

Hi! Some may know me as Martha May, Mrs. Claus, or even Belle.
My name is Angelica Aguilar, and I have had the fantastic opportunity to be a part of Team Bama since November 2021.

The people of the Lubbock community and surrounding areas are indeed one of a kind. In November 2021, Bama asked if I would be interested in helping him with "the Grinch" for December. I honestly had no idea what that meant, nor did I understand the impact this would make on others and my heart. When he introduced me to Martha May's character, I was entirely on board. All I had to do was dress up and smile for pictures--at least that's what I thought!

All things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

Each time we showed up to perform at an event, people sang with us and smiled big and bright! The team listened to people’s stories, hugged families, and worked so hard to give back to others in need. My heart and soul were not ready for the community’s impact on me.

My work with Team Bama continues to bring me so much joy. As the team grows, I am excited to see what God has in store for us! I know I am right where God wants me to be.

Outside of Team Bama, I am a mother to one daughter. I work in risk management for UMC Physicians and am an active member at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Sporting events are my favorite; I love football, basketball, and baseball. Also, I love cake—it’s my weakness! Any cake can make a day so much better.
